Byron L. Lam, M.D.
Byron Lam, M.D., is a board certified ophthalmologist and professor at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Since 1995, he has been collaborating with the Ocular Epidemiology Research Group investigative team on five National Institute of Health-funded studies. This collaboration has resulted in numerous publications on the epidemiology of visual impairment in adults and children and has positioned Dr. Lam as one of the few ophthalmologists in the country with extensive experience in the analysis of ophthalmologic data collected by the National Center for Health Statistics.
