Research Facilities & Cores

Laboratory research activities of the McKnight Vision Research Center occupy seven floors within the 8-story McKnight building.

The recently opened Ophthalmic Clinical Research Center on the 15th floor (offices) and 5th floor (research clinic) of the new Clinical Research Building on the medical campus provides a dedicated space for clinical research activities of the McKnight Vision Research Center.

The laboratory program will expand further with opening of the Center for Ophthalmic Innovation on the 5th floor of the medical school’s new Biomedical Research Institute Building in 2008.

Additional research space is also being developed in Bascom Palmer Eye Institute’s new Palm Beach Gardens facility.

To support the expansion of research, core resources have been upgraded, and new core resources have been added. This development continues as we strive to meet the needs of our many new investigators.
