Miami Center for Vision Research

The cross-campus Miami Center for Vision Research (MCVR) is the umbrella component for research at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. The MCVR draws together all eye and vision researchers at the University of Miami to share in research activities, collaborative expertise in biostatistics, core resources, and educational programs.

The MCVR is supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). A P30 grant from the National Eye Institute (NEI) provides for collaborative expertise in biostatistics and funds core resources. A recently awarded S10 grant from the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) provides instrumentation funds for our core facilities. We are in the process of applying for a T32 grant from the NEI to support our research training program.
